The remaining parts of the latest cabinet were cut this weekend and most of the cabinet has been finished.

Next up is the attachment of the dart holders and scoreboards. Then it's down to the finishing area and the shop will be ready for he next project

Cabinet Frame

Tonight the parts were cut for the cabinet assembly.

There is a long horizantal door ( not in the picture) which will be hinged to the bottom of the cabinet and will cover the storage area. More work is needed before the cabinet can be glued up... Stay tuned!

Doors just about completed

Tonight the bulk of the engraving work was completed. Some fine tuning and sanding is needed. The doors are also cut to size and shape.

Engraving

Tonight I began the routing work on the oak doors. I chose to use my large plunge router on this one because the lettering is large without any sharp cut in work.

Layout of engraving

Tonight I transferred the engraving artwork onto the surface of the doors. It may be hard to see from the photos.

First Post

Hello. I frequently find myself wishing I had more time to update CustomDartCabinets.com and my blog. But that requires me to sit down at my computer and start up software, move pictures onto the computer, etc..

As it turns out, I can now write to a Blogger account directly from my phone and post pictures of the work I am currently involved with. Since my phone is always with me, now I can update this blog on a daily basis.

This will enable customers to see the real-time progress of their orders. It also helps when new potential customers visit my website and can see regular updates that I normally don't have the time to make.

So, this is the first of many regular posts that I think will be a great new feature for current and new customers of CustomDartCabinets.com !

Cheers,
John Gowrie
